WCF Events WCF Ministries WCF Service Projects WCF Officers Willing Workers Projects & Meetings
The Women’s Christian Fellowship and Willing Workers’ Circle are open to all women of the church. In fact, you are encouraged to participate in both if your schedule permits. WCF takes care of “the 2009-2010 Theme
Reach Up (to God)
First we have to establish our “vertical relationship” with the Lord and get ourselves in line so that we can truly love ourselves the way He intends.
Reach In (to our church family)
Then we come to our “horizontal relationships”, that if we love the Lord, we must love others. This year we are focusing on passing the Lord’s love from one generation to another. Find your spot in this process and be part of the blessing!
Reach Out (to our community and beyond)
God’s great love will then naturally also reach out beyond our church family to our world. We are to be the Lord’s hands and feet. What a privilege we have!

Benevolence Meals
Susan O’Hara
745-2867
This ministry’s purpose is to show love to hurting families of the church who have lost loved ones. The HCC staff notifies Susan, who then will coordinate the preparation and serving of a meal for the family at the church building. She will notify her volunteers as needed. Please notify Susan if you would like to help with this ministry.

There will be different service opportunities for the entire congregation to participate in. Some will be REACHING IN to our congregation and some will be REACHING OUT to our community, but all will provide us with the privilege of being the Lord’s hands and feet in some way. The ladies are heading up these projects with much love and we can’t wait to see how our church family responds to these needs. Questions? Contact the chairwomen. They’ll be glad to have your participation! Aug. 2009 School Supply Shower
Have an idea or resource?
Want to help with a specific
project?
Darla Coffman 323-5870
Take advantage of the “Back to School” sales and help us bless local children in need with supplies in the middle of the school year. This will be a welcome replenishing in January. Thank you for being a good steward!
Nov. 2008 Gifts for Grundy
Jennifer Grashel and Stephanie Evans-Miller 587-3658
From Grundy’s web site: “Mountain Mission School is a home for 300 children from toddlers to age 17, located in Grundy, Virginia. Not only do they exist to offer hope, they exist to offer Christ.” Each year we are given a Christmas list for some of these children and gifts/funds are gathered. Watch for the Angel Tree to appear in the entry.
Feb. 2009 Care Packages for College Kids
Jill Goddard 344-7843
We’ll be sending “love packages” to our college students- complete with Valentines and other goodies. Please help us be sure that our list of students is complete and that our addresses are accurate.
Mar. 2009 Annual Bean Supper
Judy Williamson 787-1979
Here’s another Heath tradition: hundreds of men from all over central Ohio come together for food and a night of fellowship. Our ladies provide the meal and hospitality for the evening, but this requires several days of preparation. Judy has this project down to a finely tuned science, but it is an event that requires many willing workers. (The pies come from many churches, but the beans, cornbread, cole slaw, and drinks come from HCC.)
Aug. 2008 Church Picnic
This event reaches out to invite our community to a family-friendly day at the church AND provide a good old-fashioned get-together for the church family. “Many hands make light work.”
Dear Sisters in Christ,
As I began my journey as WCF President, it was amazing and humbling to see just exactly how much work is done by the ladies in this church. It has been a sincere blessing to see us work together as one in the body of Christ. Regardless of your age or "season in life", you are my precious sisters in Christ- and I count it an honor to be among you.
Daughters of the King, bless each of you as you "reach up, reach in, and reach out". This is the year to take possession of the promises of our Heavenly Father.
Romans 8:16-17
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs- heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His
sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.

Once again this year the WCF and the Willing Workers are sharing a theme. Since we had the same goals in mind, we decided that there was no need to “reinvent the wheel”. It is our prayer that the ladies of our church will seek to “tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds pf the Lord”. Here is a quick overview of the Willing Workers’ service projects:
